Tigers of Zoobic Safari

2010 is the year of the tiger so just thought of posting this!

Our close encounter with the tigers in Subic...

Hmm... behaving like a cat?

Looks friendly to me, dont you think?

Tigers outside the cage...

Getting closer...

And closer to us...

Feeding at the chicken, I wish they could have allowed me
to feed the tiger the chicken, heheh...

Do you know the difference between a zoo and Zoobic Safari? At the zoo, the animals are on cages for you to enjoy but at Zoobic Safari, the people are the ones inside the cages! Tourists are transported using a caged vehicle and are toured around an area where tigers are just rooming around the place. The tour guide then feeds the tigers with chicken and throws the chicken at the roof of the vehicle. The tiger jumps on top of the vehicle and you can witness how it eats the chicken above you. The vehicle continue to move while the tiger is on roof top. It's a such a nice experience for people who love animals and the wild.

JEST Camp, Subic, Philippines

Jungle Environment Survival Training (JEST) Camp, showcases the skills and knowledge of the aetas in the Jungle. Here, tourists are trained to make a fire without a match or a a lighter using just dried bamboo sticks and cook food without utensils. They have also identified a plant species (I think it also belongs to bamboo) which can provide clean drinking water and it has been tested for purity and safety. I also had an experience to have a taste of it and it was really cool and tasty, better than bottled water. Travelers also have an option to experience the jungle and hike or may be camp and learn survival skills and techniques.
