Garden Show photos

Aside from flowers (orchids, gumamela, gerbera, daisy, anthurium, bromeliads, etc.), there are also other plants for sale like grafted fruit trees, ornamental plants used for landscaping, among others... There are also seminars, lectures, and contests during the week long show.

Garden Show at UPLB

These photos were taken at last year's Garden Show in UP Los Banos, Laguna. I decided to post it now, since there is another garden show at the campus in the Social Garden of UPLB. I think it started last October 9, 2009 and usually lasts for a week. So if you haven't visited yet, you still have some time...

This falls is not always a falls (???)

It only becomes a falls whenever there is a strong rain

Pagsanjan Falls, Laguna, Philippines

Pagsanjan Falls is not actually located in Pagsanjan Laguna but in Cavinti, Laguna where it is called Magdapio Falls. It is one of the most (if not most) popular falls in the Philippines. Many tourists go there to witness its beauty and wonders. Surprisingly, there are many people in Laguna who haven't seen it yet!

At the falls, you can actually ride a boat made of bamboo connected to a rope and the raftsmen pulls the rope across the main falls. You can feel the water falling from your head and its like have a whole body massage. Underneath the falls there is a cave where you could swim and enjoy playing with your echoes.

Talahib Falls, Lumban, Laguna, Philippines

Stop over at the first fall, they call Talahib Falls. There were times when there is a high tide or bad wheather where the boats cannot reach the main falls.

According to some articles I read, Talahib falls is already part of Lumban, Laguna. The next town after Pagsanjan, Laguna.

The Bumbungan River, starting point of the exciting trip at Pagsanjan Falls...

Two boat men they call "bankeros" start to give us the unforgetable journey. There are some rocky portions in the river and the "bankeros" lneeds to lift the boat up and down across the middle of the rocks with you still in it. It is also amazing how they were able to push the boat against the strong current.
