Tamaraw Falls, Puerto Gallera, Philippines

These photos were taken at Tamaraw Falls, Puerto Gallera, Oriental Mindoro. It is actually in the boundary between Puerto Gallera and San Teodoro, just along the main highway. To go there (from Puerto Gallera), you need to ride a jeepney going to Calapan City and it costs around 20 pesos to the falls. When we got there, there were monkeys playing on top of the trees unfortunately I don't have a camera with powerful lenses to capture that moment...

How to go to Puerto Gallera

How to go to Puerto Gallera?

If you are coming from Metro Manila, you can go to the Bus Terminals (Cubao, Pasay, Taft/Buendia) and ride a bus going to Batangas Pier. Travel Time normally takes 2 hours but it changes depending on traffic. From Batangas, there are boats going to White Beach, Puerto Gallera and there are dailly trips from early in morning till late in the afternoon. Boat rides costs 250 pesos (1 hour travel) but I there are also airconditioned boats which costs 300 pesos. Alternatively, if you are afraid of the small boats, you can also ride a super cat (fast craft) but via Calapan city (Capital of Oriental Mindoro) then from there you can ride a jeepney going to Puerto Gallera for less than an hour travel. From Puerto Gallera, you can ride a tricycle going to the white beach
