Paoay Church is one of the favorite travel destination in Ilocos Norte, Philippines and is included among the lists of UNESCO World heritage. The church was said to be founded in 1593 by Agustinian Missionaries and the cornerstone of the church was laid in 1704, the convent in 1707, and the tower in 1793. However, the church was damaged by earth quakes and the tower was used by the Katipuneros as observation post during the Japanese Revolution.
